The university course "International Conflicts" (Code F.06.O.54) is one of fundamental disciplines for the International Relations curriculum and taught in VI semester for graduate students. This course is structured in order to acquire the categorical apparatus, theoretical foundations and applied aspects of this discipline. Knowledge of the international conflicts specific and resolution methods is necessary for future international relations specialists. The topicality of the course is determined by the growing need for cooperation at the global, regional and national levels between different subjects of international relations, to find common goals and methods of conflict resolution. Opting for collaboration and applying nonviolent means of resolving conflicts involves studying conflict theory and methods of resolving them. Lectures, seminars and individual work are oriented towards the development of theoretical fundamental knowledge, analytical and applied skills for future experts and diplomatic officials in international relations in studied field. The discipline will complement the knowledge gained in the courses of theory of international relations, political science, geopolitics and global science in terms of their application in research and political settlement of international conflicts.
