The purpose of this course is to present the notions, theories, mechanisms, financial instruments and institutions created the international financial environment. The course also presented the recent international financial statistics of the balance of payments and financial markets.
The course is organized in three groups of problems. The first group concerns the basic problems of exchange rate and the foreign exchange markets. The second part presents the balance of payment and the international equilibrium. In the third part the problems of the evolution and stability of the international monetary system are presented. The European monetary integration and international financial organizations are also discussed.
Knowledge: Students will be able to recognize the main notions, theories, mechanisms and instruments of exchange rate, balance of payments and international monetary system.
Skills: Student will be able to understand and analyse the international financial statistics of exchange rate, balance of payments account and explain the structure and evolution of the international monetary system.
