This course aims at introducing students into the study of Intercultural Conflict Management that is mostly based on the Intercultural communication and analysis of the common and diverse ways of peoples' behaving among cultures and the verbal interaction in common situations via the English language. Intercultural communication may also imply translation from one language into another, mainly from English into Romanian and Russian, or from Romanian into Russian and vice versa.
Intercultural conflicts may appear as a result of an incorrect interaction either on the verbal or non-verbal level and the role of the translator or the mediator is to help the 2 people or the 2 parts that participate in an intercultural dialogue to interact successfully, using the correct expressions in an adequate context.
